New Program(s)/Position(s) Hiring Part-Time/Non- Exempt/ $14.00 - $16.00 per hr. DOE/Job #01-PSCAS A Peer Support Specialist will establish and maintain relationships with peers; will function as a role model to peers; demonstrate competency in personal recovery and use of coping skills; advocate on behalf of peers and help them navigate the health and social services systems, and to access other community services. The Peer Support Specialist will act as a coach and mentor and help peers set goals and work toward developing skills. Peer Support Specialists will become familiar with the Wellness Recovery Action Plan process and assist other peers in creating and maintaining their plans. People who have lived experience with a serious mental health condition, psychological trauma and/or addiction and a history of managing one's own symptoms are encouraged to apply.
